With gold highlights. In a whole leather case with a split spine.
The soldier in this portrait appears to be holding a Model 1853 Enfield rifle musket. He is wearing a cartridge box on his belt, another on a sling and an appearently empty scabbard for a bayonet.
His shell jacket does not, unfortunately, bear enough ornamentation to allow an identification of the rank or source of the soldier.
While the gold tinting of the belt bucklet, sling insignia and button are not uncommon, the prominent tinting ofthe wedding band is unusual.
